I have in the past talked about the concept of Affiliate in your business. Does it work? Is it profitable? Well I’d like to share what happened to me. A few weeks ago I joined iPro. This is a concept where you get almost all served. What you need to do is more or less just drive traffic to a leadgen and from there the potential customer are taken in to an already setup funnel. All this is done for you and the only thing you need to do is watch the ledger and collect the commissions. Perhaps this seems way to easy to believe, but I’m not kidding. It actually this simple.

Dean Holland has with iPro build an entire funnel for you and the other signed up partners to use. The customer will be tagged to you within Infusionsoft and even future sells will be seen as your referral and the affiliate commission will end up in your account.

Yesterday was my first 4-figure day from this concept. I have attached a screenshot from my account in Infusionsoft and there you can see what I saw when I logged in. Not too bad.

I have masked the buyer for privacy reason, but you can see the date, sold by me and also that yesterdays commission was $1,017.96 I like that and I’m looking forward to more days like this.

I mentioned that all you have to do is add traffic. And how to do that you might ask. Well, it’s entirely up to you what traffic source you want to use. It can be solo ads, FB ads, articles, comments on posts in forums or blogposts. In other words, everything that can and will generate traffic. All the rest is set up and waiting for you to push potential customers in to it.

First post in a series about how to build your online business

I have decided to make a series about how to build your online business here on my blog.

What do I mean by building your online business?Well, I have very recent started to work with a guy named Marc Milburn. I will follow the steps that he has in his coaching to see how it works out and what steps need to be taken for a new guy that start his journey in how to build your online business. How to start up and then later on expand and make it profitable. This will be done from scratch as I was totally new. And I will post her to share what I do and also some takeaways from the process. The process will include a lot of things that you need to know about and also in a degree, know how to deal with. Some of them you will be able to outsource in a later stage, but I will cover more about that when we come to that phase. Some of the things that will be covered are:

How To Use AWeber to Your Advantage (part2)

This is part two in my guide on how to use AWeber. If you haven’t read part 1 yet, click here to read it.

STEP 2:

Let’s continue to go through how to use AWeber and make it work at it best for you.
You’ll then be automatically taken to a section that allows you to apply your company branding. Before we explore the branding options let’s look at what’s happening during your set-up process.

At this point you’ll notice at the bottom of the page that you’ve completed a certain percentage of your set-up tasks. Based on the example in the image above 34% has been completed at this point.  While you have step by step guidance in this report, you can also view one of AWeber’s videos and the link will be at the bottom of the screen (see image above).

AWeber allows you to customize the pages that will be shown to your subscribers using your own logo/branding artwork.  When you click on the dark box with the text “Please Upload Your Logo” a dialogue box will open up that easily allows you to upload your image.

 

STEP 3:

Social media is of course a standard part of any progressive marketing initiative today and AWeber makes it easy for you to use social media to help boost your email marketing campaign. You can connect AWeber to your social media profiles on Twitter and Facebook.

By allowing AWeber to access your profiles on these social networks, AWeber will automatically post updates (as your profile) whenever you broadcast a message to your subscribers.  We’ll learn about broadcasting a little later on.

STEP 4:

One of the benefits of a using AWeber to facilitate your email communications with leads and customers is that it enables you to build a list of people who are interested in your information. How this is achieved is by requiring new subscribers to take an active step to confirm their registration on your list.  This is called a “double opt-in.”

It’s a double opt-in because your subscribers have to indicate twice that they are interested in joining your list – first when they submit their information through your web form and second when they receive your “confirmation message.”

At the top of the page you’ll see “Your Confirmation Message” this is the work screen that allows you to create the email that will be sent to your subscribers after they complete a web form that opts them into your list (we’ll talk about web forms later).

Your subscribers will receive in their inbox and email from you that says “Confirm your Subscription.” You can edit that subject heading to something more creative or enticing if you wish.

Click on the dark “Edit Subject” box to edit the email subject area.

Determining what to say in the first paragraph of your first email to subscribers on your list can be a daunting task especially when dealing with a topic that is not about your niche but about the tool AWeber. Not to worry – AWeber provides you with an opening introduction paragraph that can be edited – see below:

We received your request for information from the [your list/company name] group.  Before we begin sending you the information you requested, we want to be certain we have your permission.

Below this opening paragraph AWeber will provide the link that must be clicked in order for the subscriber to be confirmed. It’s not necessary to edit that section.

At the end of this email you can insert a signature that might include your name, your company name and a tagline – or really anything you choose as a closing.

AWeber also gives you the option of having your subscribers directed to the URL/website of your choice. If subscribers have been promised a gift (e.g. a free guide or tips sheet, etc.) you can provide the download link in the “Success Page” URL field.

At this point your list has now been set-up on AWeber.  Your next step is to create the web form that will allow visitors to your website to easily give you their contact information (ideally name and email address).

Free reports are hot items today among Internet marketers. Most of the very savvy ones have discovered just how valuable a free report can be and how it can serve to help build those all-important opt-in lists. Free reports do help to build opt-in lists, that’s true, but they can serve other purposes as well.

A good free report is something that your average, garden-variety Internet surfer actually seeks out all by himself. You never have to beg people into taking free stuff.  When a surfer is looking for information on any given topic, the first thing they usually look for are free reports on the subject. People do pay for information but only after they have gotten the free information first and are looking for more specific and detailed information. One thing that you can absolutely count on, though, is that people will download and read free reports if they are interested in the topic of the report. That’s a given.

So, the next question is how do you get the most mileage out of a free report? After all, that ‘free’ report is only free to the people who download it. It sure isn’t free for you, the marketer. You have spent time, effort and energy writing it yourself or you have paid a ghostwriter to write it for you so you need to get something back, right? Yes, you do need to get something back and that’s what we are going to talk about.

 

The first, and maybe the most important thing you get, is the name and email address of the person who downloads your free report. That is usually the main object of producing a free report, after all, but you benefits don’t have to stop there. There are other ways to profit.

In a free report, you can strategically place advertisements for your affiliate products or even for your own products. Now… the free report cannot be a blatant advertisement… hat is just not acceptable but that doesn’t mean that you can’t place links to products or services that you will make a profit on, does it?

You do need to use good judgment and possibly some restraint in placing links to products and services that you can profit from. Remember that the people who have downloaded your free report didn’t expect nor want to get yet another advertisement. They intended to get information and information should stay the main focus in your free report.

You can add links to products and services that you make a profit on but only within the context of the information being supplied to the reader. For example: if within your report you are discussing the importance of providing a dog house for a dog, you can include a link to a dog house product that you will make a profit on. What you can’t do is expound on the virtues of the dog house that you will make a profit on.  In other words…you can’t advertise it.

Another way that you can make your free report even more valuable to you is to sell advertising space in it to other Internet marketers.

Paid advertising needs to look like paid advertising, however. It should not be disguised to look as though it is a product that you are specifically recommending in your free report. It really isn’t surprising that people expect to see advertisements. It’s true. You really expect to see advertising, don’t you? Others expect to see it as well and it will not aggravate those who download a free report if the advertisements look exactly like what they are…advertisements.

The amount you can charge for advertising space in a free report varies with the report and the size of the circulation it will achieve. A long report can generate a larger advertising charge than a short report. A report that will be downloaded thousands of times can bear a larger advertising charge than one that will only be downloaded a few hundred times.

Advertisements can be shown as sponsorships. Example: “This free report is sponsored by” just above the advertiser’s logo. This kind of advertising is less annoying to a reader and puts the advertiser in a better light than just an advertisement.

Remember, however, to hold your advertisements down to a very reasonable number… even if you list them as sponsorships. Too many advertisements make a free report appear to be nothing more than a cheesy way to slip advertising in disguised as something other than what it is…and people really hate that.

There is even one more way in which you can profit from a free report. You can provide a capture method so that you can collect the names and email addresses of those who have not yet downloaded your free report.

You can give your free report a viral quality.

For example: You can use a quiz in your free report and have the answers posted on your website. Quizzes are by nature viral and those who download your free report will be more likely to pass them along to their friends if there is a quiz included.

Each visitor to your website is a potential customer or, at the very least, a potential member of your opt-in list. Another way to give your free report a viral quality is to include coupons that provide dollars off on a product or service that would be of great value to those who download the report as well as to their friends, family and coworkers. People love coupons!

Each of these techniques to add to your opt-in list or increase your potential for profit from a free report by selling advertising space or strategically placing links to products and services that you profit from or by giving your free report a viral quality is worth your time and effort to investigate and put into action. Free reports are only free to those who download them…they are supposed to make money for you.
